Saving for a snowy day.

Starting to save my pennies (many, many pennies) for new set of tires this fall/winter for my 02 quartro. Leaning towards Blizzak LM-25's for New England winter. Good investment?

I actually meant to add that to my original post.  I realize dedicated snow tires would be the best, but would a good set of all season's be road worthy on snow covered (but plowed) streets. In the past, I've driven front wheel drive with all season & never had an issue. Unfortunately, my tt will see no rest, it's a road warrior, being driven everyday!

I have Avon Tech M550 AS on my 2002 coupe, and on plowed roads I have a hard time even getting the ESP to kick on. That being said, I also bought a set of Dunlop Winter Sport on 16" rims, and with those I can drive in just about any conditions, at least until the undercarriage starts scraping the snow!
