Bent rim

Bent rim

Hi,

I have a bent rim on one of my aftermarket wheels. It must be really slight because there is no air leakage..so when I bring it in for wheel balance and tire rotation it cant be done because of it being off slightly.

Do you guys recommend repairing the rim or just replacing it? Can a repair even be done?

It really depends on how bad the bend is and where it is. There are places that specialize in repairing wheels. Check your yellow pages and the internet. I have repaired slight bends with a rubber mallet. It comes down to cost, availabity of repair services and replacement wheels.
