Bose Radio Dead!

Posted by maaschies at June 27. 2008

Do any of you gurus out there have any guidance as to how I can resurrect my radio that one morning just failed to switch-on.  I have checked fuses and all okay.

I am noticing a noise such like a solinoid "switching" coming from the trunk area.  Could this have something to do with the problem or maybe I am only hearing this now as I always have music doing its thing while I am in the TT.  The model is a '02 225hp and the CD stacker is still powered and working.  Any ideas please?

Thanks

This happened to me on my '01 225hp Roadster. It started with a delay each time the radio was switched on. In my case, the button used to switch the radio on failed and was replaced.

Thannks for the information.  I have tested across the on-off switch withh a multimeter and the switch is good.  After re-installing the unit I now have a continual cycling of the in-unit CD mechanizim.  Where did you have your repaired?  Any ideas where I can have this unit tested and repaired?

These are all good questions.

I brought mine to the Audi dealer, and they knew immediately what the solution was in my case. My radio is similar, but I have the cassette player (never used it once; I may try it for fun this weekend) and the 6-disc changer behind the driver's seat.
