hello new to the forum! ive read 80 of 164 forum pages still got ?'s

hello,

I've been following audi TT's for a little bit now. Read alot of the tech post's in this forum.

I would like to buy a 2001-2003 TT 180 or 225hp quattro.  but what i have not read much on is how much body fat can be lifted on these cars? what are the capabilities for losing weight and still keeping a clean interior?

example: removing the back seat and all components (first aid kit, spare tire, etc...etc..) light weight seats, recarpeting the entire floor. i do NOT want to remove the door panels and gut the ENTIRE thing. but i would remove the A/C unit and other things.

also is it feesable to have a 1st gen at 400 hp as a DD or are these engines not capable.

In my city nobody has a hooked up audi TT! they run Evo's and DSM's. Im searching for a car with the capabilities of competing while still maintaining DD capabilities

FYI: In my city they have DD Evo's making 540 bhp and running 9.9 in the quarter on a stock block 4g63T running 93 octaine-4g63T running 9.36 with a 155 trap speed running 116 racing fuel and many others

Can the TT contend? I know people have made big power but is it sustainable or is it a constant headache? I have so many questions!

thank you for your feedback in advance

So is this how people work on this forum! ask questions and get no responses!

does anyone on this site have any performance knowledge of these cars?

Most people are not going to extremes that you want to take your TT, so my guess is few have the answers.

IIRC I have seen a 500hp TT, but that takes chipping, turbo, exhaust, etc which runs a lot of money.

I'm not a big tuner but last I heard the DD kit was only available for the 180 HP engine.  If you want quattro too, then you have to buy a 1999-2001 model car.  Quattro was not offered in the 180 after 2001.
