Cost Estimate for New Clutch

Posted by John Michael Henson at March 05. 2010

I have an 01 225hp 6spd manual with approx 125k miles on it. I have recently posted about noticeable clutch slippage, and hoped it was something minor, however after having it inspected by an auto-collison place (needed front end work) the mechanic said I am going to need a new clutch. I am planing on installing an exhaust system, a REVO chip, and possibly a new intercooler at some point in the near future. My question is 1) what kind of clutch do I need to get that will hold 350hp/350 pnds of torque and 2) how much would a new clutch and probably flywheel cost?

Thanks alot,

John Michael Henson

go with a southbend stage 2 or 2+ and use a single flywheel and in steel not aluminum NO CHATTER will last longer price is about 629 clutch 429 flywheel and labor 10.5 hours X mechinics rate per hour

goapr.com has the specs on it but there are southbend dealers out there that can cut you a deal.....

I just had the Spec 3 clutch and flywheel put in. Just shy of 2k for the whole thing installed.
