I have a 2005 . I received a recall notice from Audi that they were replacing the coils on my model. Any one else receive this recall ?
I received this notice last week and already took my TT in for the service. They told me that they replaced all four coils as they were all the old style. Service took about two hours to complete.
I bought mine a week ago and took it in to Audi to have the stereo code put in. They searched the vin and noticed that the coils weren't replaced on it and they went ahead and replaced them for me while I was there for free. They said it was a recall.
I believe the recall started in 2004 as all four of mine were done on my roadster. There was a failure that was episodic, but caused the car to go into sort of a limp home mode when it occurred. Mine never failed, but then we only put about 12,000 miles on the cars and then buy a new one.
