Change time?
Up to Audi TT Forum
Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to change the time in the A6 (2004)...I don't have the manual and it drives me crazy ever since daylight savings!!
thanks
An A6? I don't know if it's the same as the TT, but if it is, you pull out the left hand knob until the clock display blinks then turn it left or right to adjust the numbers. On mine, it's incredibly hard to do, and either doesn't register and stops blinking, or flips right on by the number I want. I'm praying they'll discontinue daylight savings time, just so I don't have to spend another morning doing this twice a year
!
Changing the time on the TT at six months interval is far enough apart that I have to re-figure it out every time.
My $14.99 Sony alarm clock automatically adjusts for the time change. That level of automation is what I'd add to my wish list for dealer ECU re-flash upgrades, if at all possible. Any VAGCOM hackers willing to take on the challenge?!!

I wonder how Audi allows an engineer to design such a clumsy and difficult method of clock adjustment. Pulling out the silver button does not immediately cause the clock to promptly respond which causes confusion. A weak design, to say the least.
I believe that the CEO and CFO should operate all these fussy little button adjustments before they ever reach production. If those old buzzards can do it, then fine, put it into production.
Fortunately, this only has to be done biannually, here on Earth.
