Hello everyone, I just bought my 2001 225 Quattro coupe 3 days ago and I am loving it! I don't have an owners manual, though, so I have a few questions. I've already solved a couple of issues myself by searching (FIXED: front parking lights not working, key remotes not working) but I do have a couple more questions.

-First, what is the animated fountain-like icon in the center of the dash?

-What does the button do that's between the gas door release and the hatch release?

-What the heck is the "ESP" button?

-I also haven't quite figured out the seat adjustments. I know the lever in front lets you move it forward and back, and the knob towards the rear on the side tilts it, but what does the lever on the side do? Mine might be broken, but it doesn't seem to do anything. And are there any other controls I'm missing?

-I've got my eye on some 10-spoke lipless 20" wheels. What offset, width and tire size do I need to make sure they won't rub?

Also, I have a couple of problems I'm going to have checked. I don't have VAG-COM cable/softwareCabin yet, but I'll ask more about that later:

-Cabin smells slightly of gas while driving.

-Tach not working.

Thanks Jon. I will check the washer fluid, the icon makes sense now! As for the motion sensor, I do have an actual button there. WHen this is off, what triggers the alarm? ANd for the ESP,  I'm assuming it is "off" when the icon on the cluster lights up. I'll just have to mess witht the seat.

After some more browsing, I see that 20" wheels will fit but are not a good idea due to the extremely low profile tire required to make them fit. I love the look of 19's but they are not cost-effective for me (tires are way more expensive than for 18s or 20s). So I'll be going with 18s.
