2006 225 HP TT 6-Speed - Increase HP Reliably?
Up to Audi TT Forum
Hello,
I would like to increase HP inmy TT but not at expense of reliability/dependability. Can anyone suggest any specific chip upgrades or other enhancements to accomplish this? Are there particular things to avoid?
Thanks, FLS

This car is very amenable to mods with virtualy no ill effects unless you do water injection. Search the Quattroworld site for recommendations on the best chip upgrade supplier. It wil get you about 10% increase in HP for about $500.

use any name chip tuner nearest you, they are pretty much the same, a simple single apr program download is simple and safe, whenever chips are physically changed there is a small chance for problems due to delicate souldered installation, exhaust is next, catback is easy install, around $900 for it, 304 stainless is the way to go, it NEVER!! rusts, i just put a borla on my 01 TT 225 quattro, NICE, shop around for deals, the holidays had many specials, the downpipe + cat costs more and can add even better power and harder $$$ to install on a quattro car FWD is cheaper + easier. you can save $$ on parts that are not 304 stainless but they will not last, i had ceramic coated headers, they peeled + rusted in 4 yrs. an air intake also helps, best is a cold air setup, but twin intercooler is in the way, modshack makes a nice setup for about $250. search read and decide what you want and are willing to $$$$. i had similar mods to my 01 1.8T jetta for 170,000 miles no issues except for a souldered chip that went BAD. good luck and enjoy the TT i do mine just purchased recently.
