Time for New Shocks?

Posted by alstt at March 18. 2008

2001 Quattro roadster with 60K miles, (yes I've had the timing belt done) It seems to ride and drive great, but shocks go bad so slowly it's hard to notice. Is there a general rule of thumb as to replacement time? And if so, any recomendations? It's a daily driver, so comfort is the priority.

Have you looked at Audiworld Forums under Mk1TT? Search posts.

I believe the consensus is around 60K for new shocks, but depends on your driving.

Some of the guys on that site race and 30K is not unheard of.

I have all of 8200 original miles on my TTQC, so no personal experience.
