Concur with others - watch those hi-mileage cars, and negotiate accordingly. I have owned a 98 SLK and an 04 TT Roadster (3.2) and the TT is by far the better car (especially in Canada where you might expect some quattro weather). TT seems more solid, drives tighter, much better interior (seating position, etc).
Be sure to check the condition and function of the top and rear window therein (check if the defroster wires aren't frayed of broken). If it has Bose, be sure to test the CD changer. Good luck!
