Reliability of 04 TT
Up to Audi TT Forum
Is this unreliability concentrated on the 2000 and 2001 models as they were the first in North America, or does this unreliability carry over to the 2003, 2004 years ?
Any experience to pass on...
Thanks...

I own a 2004 TT not quattro I have about 37 K and really have not had any problems.
While the TT is not as reliable as a Toyota, I would never call its reliability a "horror story". Remember that the stories you read on the internet are primarily from disgruntled owners who want to vent. People with no problems rarely post that everything is wonderful. Having said that, IMO the 2000 and 2001 models had more problems than later years due to the newness of the car. I had a 2001 TTR that had a minor problem about every 6-12 months, usually an emissions sensor. I sold it last year with 90K on the ticker and would have sold it to a close relative because I believe it was a good car. I now have a 2004 with 21K on the ticker and have nad no problems whatsoever.
