Switching from Bi-Xenon Headlights to Regular Headlights?
Hi all,
I have a 2005 TT 3.2 and I've been having problems with one of my Xenon headlights. It turns on, flickers in intensity and eventually turns off. If I turn it back on it might work for a while but eventually starts flickering again and turns off.
Brought it to the dealer and they said it was the module that controls the headlight. They basically said they had to change it (500$) and change the headlight (250$), so with time and taxes, I'm looking at the better part of $1000 for ONE side only. I like my car and all, but Murphy's law dictates that the minute I fix this one, the second headlight will start acting up.... So spending 2K on headlights does not sound like a good idea at this point.
So I was wondering, since Xenon lights were an option on the car, can I replace both sets of lights for the "standard" kit (which I assume was halogen or something)?
Dealer says they never do those kinds of things. Not in their standard manual.....
Anyone have a clue, or even know of a place where they would do that? I'm in Montreal, Qc.
Appreciate the feedback
thanks,
Phil
