The relay for the turn signal and emergency flasher is acting up.  You can hear the relay turning on and off at a rapid rate (although it does not turn on the parking lights when doing this.  It does this intermittently.  The turn signals and emergency flashers work like they are supposed to when switched on.   I tried replacing the relay with a new one and the problem is still present.  All the turn signal bulbs seem to be working.  Anyone know what I should check next?

Thanks Joe for the reply. I did replace the hazard switch/relay and the problem was still present with the new relay.   Turn signal switch in the steering column is the next suspect.

Good Point - I actually remember having mine changed about 4 yrs ago .....

A follow up to this issue.  Turns out the problem was the turn signal unit on the steering column needed to be replaced.   $300 at the dealer ($119 for the part).    Tech told me that they see a lot of failures with TT turn signals.  Most are the relay but they also see a fair share of the turn signal unit failing.  I've experienced both.
