Air conditioning recharge?

A while back I posted some AC issue. When I turned on the AC the car would get a vibration and a shutter, some times a weird noise but the AC worked. Well, it died last week. Turns out it was a cooling fan making those weird noises and the vibration/harmonic resonations you could feel in the car. $500 later and a new fan, the AC works again and the noises and vibrations are gone.
I recall others having similar issues. Just wanted to let you know what the issue could be...

I took picture of my car. Someone tell me if the red circle is the right location?

Dan,
Thanks for the info. I have a 2003 TT coupe quattro 225 hp. It has similar problems to what you describe. I've been turning off my AC about 30 seconds before I turn off the car (otherwise it can vibrate so much that I feel it in the brake pedal). I also turn it off when I'll be idling in stop & go traffic. I've been told the "flap motor" needs to be replaced ($340). You said you replaced a cooling fan. Do you know if these are two different names for the same thing?
