Corvette c6 convertible to Audi tt v6 awd convertible

Posted by Daniel Lehavi at February 21. 2010
Hey guys,

This is my first post here.

I currently am driving a corvette c6 convertible.

I am considering making the switch when my lease comes up.

It seems the v6 tt was only produced for a couple years.

Is there a reason for this?

Do any of you have any experience driving the car in snow?

How does it handle?

That is a main reason we are considering it.

I currently own a 2008 TT Quattro roadster. It is my 4th TT in 8 years and my new one will be here in April. So.........I like the cars. We live in the snow belt part of Michigan and do a lot of poor weather driving using Blizzak snow tires for about 5 months of the year. Put a plow on the front end of a TT and you could plow snow with it. My neighbor has a very steep drive way that we run up and down in our TT with no problems even when it's not plowed. When we drove Corvettes, they went into storage in November and did not come out until April. There is no comparision between the two when snow is on the ground. As far as the six cylindar engines being discontinued, I can't say why. We love this car and will miss its six speed manual tranny. People say the Audi automatic transmissions are really good. I'll be finding out in April. Enjoy a TT for a change. They are very refined compared to Corvettes insofar as handling is concerned. Also quiet compared to what you are used to. However, they do not have the torque of a V8 and you may miss the snap when you accelerate. Still, TTs are surprisingly good highway cars and have good passing power. I believe you will enjoy driving one.
