Well...I have a problem with my new to me new car (04 Quattro Coupe, V6). When it rains it seems to be leaking. I find the carpet wet after a rain on the drivers side floor board. Anyone else have this problem or a suggestion as to where to start looking?

I know that in Jettas this was a known problem that occured when the door drains got plugged. The water that should have drained out the bottom of the doors would back up and then pool on the floor. That's the first thing I would check.

Thanks for the reply. That sort of makes sense. We're in the rainy season here in Dallas and I've been watching it, trying to figure out where the water comes from. Interestingly, I've found water in the top of the rubber seal in the bottom of the door jam. So either the water is wicking down the seal someplace or as you suggest it's leaking out the bottom of the door onto the top of the seal.

Found my water leak. I got frustrated the other day when I washed my TT and of course it leaked. I pulled the door seal loose from the front part of the drivers door. I found a hole in the seal right about where the windshield piller mets the body. It sort of looks like it was cut during install?
