Tming belt Kit
Up to Audi TT Forum
I'm going to have my Timing belt, water pump , etc done soon. I was wondering if theres a kit that is superior to the OEM stuff that I can buy? What do you guys recommend?

Lots of posts on this in the past. Under no circumstances should you buy an OEM water pump with its plastic impeller. Most of the aftermarket models use metal.
I have got a quote from a local tuning shop to do the Timing belt work, and they said their service includes tensioning roller, damper, TB, and water pump.
They also said that the thermostat does not need to be replaced cause its away from the waterpump and is not required.
Also If necessary they will replace the cam seals, but if they are not leaking the factory installed seals are best left alone. They also said the same thing about the serpentine belt, if its not worn I dont need to replace it.
Are these above statements true or should I replace all the parts in the dieselgeek kit?
