Pop noise when backing up

Hey guys, i'm getting this loud pop noise when i'm backing out of the parking lot. Seem to come from the front suspension somewhere. This only happen when i'm backing up. Anyone here having the same problem or know what might cause this?
Could be a CV Joint or ball joint. CV joints typically make a noise like that when you are turning, but that is because they are stressed in a different direction. Backing up may be enough of a different direction.
I was thinking it was that and check but the CV joint looks to be fine. It might be a ball joint some where since its only one loud pop each time.
I am currently trying to diagnose the same thing on my 01. It is a very similar to the one I had in my old bronco, but t-shooting is showing it to be something different. With a ball joint you would be able to grab the front wheel and jiggle it side to side and up and down. I'm only able to get mine to go side to side, which makes me thing it might be an inner tie rod end. BUT this thing is a completly different design than a bronco so until I can get it on a lift that's what I'm going with. I'll be sure to update when I get a better idea of what's going on with mine.
