2000 Audi TT FWD Coupe
Most of the radiator hoses, Most of the Plastic Coolant Ts, Turbo Turbine Housing Cracked, Turbo Seals Leaking, Oil Return Line Leaking, Power Steering Line Pinched and Leaking, A/C Compressor, Condensor, Radiator, Front Bumper, Wheel Bearing, Ball Joint, GloveBox, Antenna, Transmission Housing Cracked and Leaking, Valve Seals Leaking, Valve Cover Gasket Leaking, MAF Sensor, Manifold to Turbine Housing Gasket Cracked, Head to Manifold Gasket Cracked and Leaking, Turbo Manifold Stud, Shocks Disconnected (during 100mph turn VERY SCARY!).
Some of this was my fault, some of this was the previous owner, some was bad luck, and some was wear and tear.
STRANG TIRE WEAR !!!!
I am on my second set of tires now. When I bought the car it had a new set of tires and ran perfectly normal. Well the rear tires started to wear funny after about 30,000 miles. They had large cups on the inside half of the tires. Normally this would mean that the shocks needed replaced. OK replaced them and bought a new set of tires, I should get some good wear out of these now with a fresh alignment and new shocks RIGHT ? NOPE. 25,000 miles later here is that cupping in the tires again . WTF !!!!!!!
Well After searching for the best alignment guy in the midlands of South Carolina, I find out that under the rear of the TT is a non adjustable straight axle. You can play with the caster but, There is NO camber adjustment. Must be why this car had 3 owners and only 40,000 miles on the clock. It wears tires out like a NASCAR Sprint Cup car. Now why would Audi do something so foolish ? I can see an American car manufacturer doing this but a German manufacturer ? Went to the tire dealer and he told me Yes he had a guy in with another Audi that had only 22,000 miles and it was cupping tires worse than mine. Wonders never cease.

By the way this is a 2005 1.8T Coupe 180 hp FWD model.
Any body know of a shop that has the equipment to bend this type of straight axle to get the camber back straight ? Supposedly there are shops that have the equipment but according to my alignment guy most dont know how to use the equipment.

2001 225Q Roadster, bought with 54K on the clock this May - changed the T-Belt, water pump and front suspension bushings upon delivery of the car. Also replaced the thermostat, temp sensor and the parking lights. I did buy a new pass window regulator but my mechanic was able to make the repair without it, hanging on to the regulator just in case. Car is now stored for winter with 56.5K on it.
I have expectations that every year this car goes back on the road I will spend about $2K...
