Overdue for a timing belt replacement. Dealer quotes $1,200. Pep Boys quotes $512 for belt, tensioner, water pump, and labor. Would I be a fool to go with Pep Boys?

wow 1200 is a bargain compared to my dealer quote of approx $1600 in LI NY, what mileage do you have?

The stealership quoted $1,400, an independent shop said $600, I put it off and the TB failed at 73k so it ended up costing $3,800 for a new head. Get your car in soon!
