Convertible Top Window Fell Out
Up to Audi TT Forum
Best advice I've gotten, which I have followed and has worked very well thus far is to use 3M super weatherstrip and gasket adhesive (product #08008)(I used black and got it from Skygeek.com). It works great in adhering the fabric to itself as well as the glass to the fabric. I did put a bead of silicone over everything once done to seal it up nice and tight. I did the bottom half of my rear window about 5 months ago, after it had separated completely. It has held up like a champ, no leaks or nothing. Now the top part of the window has started coming undone and I just re-did it this past weekend.
I hope not to have to replace my top for at least another year, but will hope it lasts as long as possible. Hope this helps some of you out there.

I had the same problem but fixed it fine.
Use the black caulk glue the window companies use (from auto paint supply stores) and mask everything with tape, clean with alcohol well
then put a good bead of the stuff and tape the window into place and apply pressure it possible.
This works well, just be sure to afterwards treat the fabric with sunbrela fabric guard (www.303products.com) so
that it doesn't decompose around the repair from uv age.
I am another audi tt lover with alot of disappointments and injured wallet. Having finally repaired the instrument cluster clusterscrewing, and being on my 13th yes 13th battery I now can't drive it again because my window fell out the one day my audi hating husband drove it. Lucky me. I am very glad I found this site. It's like a support group Knowing others have had the same problems and gives you a hint of things to come. I was told they would have to replace the whole top everywhere I called. I am going to try this but can anyone tell me the best ways to apply the pressure once you've put the window back in. Thanks for the support.

I got this car as a graduation gift from my parents and the back window fell out. My mom found this article, and we used gorilla glue to reconnect it. It worked great, however its very messy and if care is not used, it can end up looking less than perfect. I recommend this solution because its very cheap, however be careful or you may end up with an unsightly blemish.
My top is up only when parked and being washed. But...
Just noticed my window releasing from the top in a very small spot and will initiate the Gorilla Glue solution. The other alternative will be driving with the top down at all times, anyone actually consider using a plastic window as an alternative - stich it into the roof? - car is not for year round use for me so this would be a good solution for rain if i ever drove the car in it.
