I brought my TT in yesterday to just get an alignment done.... They said I should get a new battery so I did that today on my own, and now my car won't go over 20mph... it does have a REVO tune not sure if that has anything to do with it but does anyone know anything I can do or does it have to go back to the dealer... thanks in advance
I would say call the guys who did your REVO tune first, and tell them what is happening. I'll bet they can steer you in the right direction. Was your car without a battery for 15 mins or so? I seem to recall reading somewhere that unplugging the battery for that long would reset your ECU. I don't know if that is true or not. Anyway, call the guys who did your REVO and ask them if your problem could be related to their mod.
Won't go after battery change?.....first things first....go to Bently manual for procedures on battery disconnect on a stock car. Can't be any big deal....failing that I would call the dealer for a heads up before taking it back in....I dunno.....
That is very odd. Yes, 15 minutes unhooked will reset the battery but it's no big deal because the Revo tune stayes in tact. It is programmed in memory and unhooking the memory will not erase the program. I know I have done it several times to get my car out of limp mode for programming the boost too high with my SPS3 module.
Did you hook up all the electronic modules on top of the battery? That might be your problem. Retrace your steps and unhook the battery again if need be and then rehook everything. Sometime that helps.
Good Luck!

I didn't check with the connections on top of the battery, maybe I installed it wrong.. I took the old battery out and put the new battery in positive to positve and negative to negative. I thoughts that's all that's to it. Also if I bring it to the dealer and they reprgam it, will that get rid of the revo tune cause I definately do not want that to happen.
