Yeah my little plastic piece broke off as well last week, was yours the bottom one too? Very weird engineering on this glovebox, I would have expected something a little more robust from Audi. I haven't done it yet, but I'm simplying going to find a small peice of plastic or small screw and epoxy it in there where the little plastic piece used to be....

I honestly don't know. I didn't get to see it in working condition before I bought it with it broken already. That picture would solve it though I have a feeling. I'll go out and play around with it more.

Do a "search" on the Audiworld TT forum and also check their FAQs.  Detailed repairs have been posted with photos.  This is a common problem that was fixed in later years and the only factory solution is to buy the entire box.
