Does anyone have step-by-step instructions on how to replace brake light bulbs on a 00 TTQ? It appears to be very basic and straight forward, but has left me baffled by German engineering.

page 94-31 in your Bentley CD:
Rear light housing, removing and installing
Removing
- Open flap in luggage compartment side trim behind rear light (on left or right side).
- Loosen two securing bolts -2-.
Ball pin -7- on rear light housing is just a press fit in clip -1-.
- Disconnect electrical connection.
- Pull out rear light from rear of vehicle.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- When installing, make sure that the seal between the body and the rear light housing is properly seated.
- Before tightening securing bolts -2-, align rear light with body contours (uniform gaps all around).
- Make sure that ball pin -7- is firmly located in plastic clip -1- (ball pin can be adjusted to align rear light with body).

To remove bulb carrier from rear light housing, rear light housing must first be removed Page 94-31 .
- Loosen two Phillips-head screws -arrows- and take bulb carrier out of housing.
- Replace malfunctioning bulb.
- Install in reverse order of removal.
