Has anybody got an idea of what I should do on my last service checkup. I have a 2001 TT Quattro and the 4 year service expires this month. I will have the oil and filter changed but what else can I do since it's still under the warranty. I will take it in this Monday. Any ideas help... Thanks
I would be asking about timing belt replacement....Audi says wait till over 100,000 miles to replace yet many, many belts are snapping before that....and there is ample proof of that on chat sites like this, stories from dealers and repair shops, etc. I would ask what your dealer recommends, and what recourse you would have if the belt fails out of warranty, and BEFORE the recommended repacement interval. Let us know what they say....inquiring minds want to know!
Well I took my car in and already received it. I have a extended warranty that goes for another 2 years. They offered me a different kind of warranty that last 4 years if I signed up with them before the end of this month. The warranty is pretty similar to the extended warrenty. This warranty will cost me about 2200-2500. I can pay it off in 12, 15 0r 18 months, depending on how I work the numbers. About the timing belt, well it's still covered for the 2 years but they said it shouln't fail anytime soon. I dont have that kind of dough right now so i'll stick with my extended warranty.
